We are proud to introduce Tuesday’s Promise—a name that reflects our mission: to provide lifelong support, meaningful connection, and accessible programs for those affected by traumatic loss to empower individuals and families to build resilience at every stage of life.
Grief evolves. Trauma resurfaces. Our support continues.
For nearly 25 years, Tuesday’s Children has provided support, connection, and hope to individuals and families impacted by traumatic loss. As our community’s needs have evolved, so has our mission.
Now, as Tuesday’s Promise, our support continues for families and individuals who:
Lost a family member on September 11th, 2001
Served as first responders, construction workers, and recovery personnel at a 9/11 site
Have been impacted by 9/11-related illness or the loss of a family member due to 9/11-related illness
Experienced loss of a family member due to post-9/11 military service
While our name is changing, our vision remains the same: A future where those affected by traumatic loss have the care, connection, and support they need to grow forward with resilience at every stage of life.

Maintain Lifelong Support
The impact of traumatic loss does not follow a timeline. It can emerge and re-emerge throughout life in different ways. We remain committed to supporting our community for the long term.
Honor Legacy
We honor those who died by investing in the strength, growth, and resilience of those who carry their memory forward.
Provide Care
Through mental health services, peer support, and community-based programs, we help individuals and families build resilience and find connection.
Reach Across the Country
Our community spans the United States. We bring people together across regions through shared experiences, meaningful relationships, and ongoing support.
What’s Behind the Name & Design?
For more than a year, staff, board directors, supporters and family members collaborated to reimagine our organization’s identity.
Throughout the process, two priorities remained clear: honoring our origins as a 9/11-response organization and ensuring that every member of our community feels represented, welcomed, and included.
While not everyone’s loss occurred on Tuesday, September 11th, 2001, every person we serve has been impacted by a loss, illness, or experience that traces back to that day in some way. Though the needs of our community have evolved in the past 25 years, our commitment remains rooted in the promise we made in the aftermath of 9/11.
The phrase “keep the promise” has long been central to our work. As we reflected on what that promise means today, one message stood out above all others:
We are still here for you. Our support continues.
Our new visual identity offers hope in the form of a star, designed to be rooted in the past, yet moving forward. Our core values are reflected in a renewed color palette: Harbor Blue, Promise Gold, Resilience Orange, Memorial Stone, Renewal Green, and Tribute Blue
Looking Ahead
Our sincere hope is that Tuesday’s Promise remains a source of support, connection, and community for those who have been with us for nearly 25 years, those who joined along the way, and those who may need us in the future.
As we move forward together, our promise remains unchanged: to stand beside those affected by traumatic loss with compassion, care, and lifelong support.
