Creating Moments of Connection
As I reflect on the past few weeks at Tuesday’s Promise, I am filled with gratitude.
Our sponsors, partners, and volunteers make it possible for us to do more than provide services. They help us create moments for families to come together, make memories, laugh, reconnect, and simply enjoy being with one another. Those moments matter.
Grief is not linear. Some days bring sadness, some bring strength, and others bring moments of joy that can be just as meaningful. For families living with loss, having a community where they can feel understood, supported, and connected can make all the difference.
The NY Yankees helped create an unforgettable month for hundreds of the families we serve. From hosting a care package assembly for 9/11 responders and families who lost a responder this past year, to the Kids-Only Press Conference, an incredibly generous donation, and 150 tickets during the Subway Series, they gave our families opportunities to be together, feel celebrated, and create memories they will carry with them.
CloseUp Media 360, 1800 Tequila, Fanatics, and NY Knicks player Deuce McBride also came together to support Tuesday’s Promise and the families we serve. Their generosity shows how many different ways a community can come together—whether through raising awareness, opening doors, or creating once-in-a-lifetime experiences for our 9/11 families.
I was especially honored to be asked by John Feal to read several of the 345 names being added to the wall at Responders Remembered Park in Long Island. It was a powerful reminder that every name represents a life, a family, and a story—and that our commitment to showing up for these families matters, year after year.
We are also deeply grateful for our partnership with the FDNY Family Transport Unit, which delivered 200 of our care packages to 9/11 responders traveling to medical appointments. A simple package can carry a powerful message that they are remembered and cared for.
We’re not slowing down anytime soon. Thanks to the Islanders and Teledyne, we have two more opportunities ahead to bring families together, create new memories, and strengthen the community that surrounds them.
On behalf of Tuesday’s Promise, thank you to every sponsor, partner, volunteer, and supporter who helps make these moments possible. Your generosity lets families know they are not alone.
To our families: wherever you are in your journey, we are here. Grief, nor healing, follow a timeline. We will continue to meet you where you are and walk alongside you every step of the way. We are stronger together.
With gratitude,

Becky Rossman, CEO
